Our creativity is limitless, unlike our diary! Our ethos is quality not quantity: we pay particular attention to ​inspiration and research, creativity and collaboration with you. This all takes time, commitment and passion, it is a slow process to ensure the end design is as unique and individual as you. The name The Unconventional Florist has two meanings, firstly we do things very differently, we get to know you, your ideas and your wedding style, and secondly, we are not interested in recreating or churning out packages ... that is not our thing and probably not yours either!

Secondly, we shy away from cookie-cutter packages preferring to create a one-of-a-kind floral narrative.

Stripped back, authentic and a little earthy is our signature style, or some might say 'Imperfectly Perfect'
We work in sync with the seasons sourcing in- bloom to create captivating bouquets and alternative wedding decor (Peonies, anemones, ranunculus, sweet William, spray roses, garden roses, dahlias, seedheads and hydrangeas) are some of our favourite florals to create untamed, wild yet chic modern designs.

We incorporate wild ingredients including herbs, wild fruits and berries, twigs and vines into our arrangements creating unusual textures and intrigue for your ceremony and table decor. Hand-tied bridal bouquets with heavenly scented blooms and an abundance of foraged greenery styled and finished with beautifully sourced quirky accessories.

Understanding your wedding vision is our conversation starting point. We appreciate that hiring the services of a bespoke wedding floral designer is an investment. You are trusting that person to interpret your vision, meticulously create and expertly execute the perfect wedding floral design.

We will work closely with you throughout the design process, providing moodboards, sample ribbons and identifying in-season bloom. Our communication is clear and concise, and closer to your wedding is when we secure numbers and sign off the final design. We can be flexible as we only collaborate with a select few clients each year so we can fully immerse ourselves in your vision. Our ethos is quality over quantity whilst specialising in alternative, modern and unconventional design.
